We chose KusiKusi for our brand because it means both, hard worker spider and happiness in Quechua, the language of the Incas, just as the ladies from our community.

KusiKusi started in 2009 as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme by Quijas, an agribusiness in Peru, whose goal was to empower women from their communities and help them develop their soft capabilities and their knitting skills to use them as a tool for doing business.

The programme has provided business and technical training to more than 100 handicraft knitters and has succeeded in connecting them to the international market.

Our clients share our vision of offering employment opportunities to high skilled women artisans from isolated communities from the Andes, who knit with some of the most appreciated soft fibres, in the high-end markets in the world.
