The heart of KUSIKUSI
We are a community of women artisans turning heritage into timeless knitwear connecting the Andes to the world.
Our roots
KUSIKUSI was born in 2009 as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme by Quijas, an agribusiness in Peru to empower women from rural Peru, offering them tools, training, and opportunities. Today, we are a collective of over 100 artisans who transform Andean cotton and alpaca into contemporary luxury knitwear - honoring the millenary tradition of textile art while creating a positive impact in our communities.

Our natural fibres
Our collections are crafted from the finest Peruvian alpaca and organic Pima cotton, fiber known for their softness, durability and natural elegance. These are noble materials, cherished for centuries and now reinterpreted in contemporary luxury.

COTTON
We work with organic Pima cotton from the coastal region of Pisco, Peru. Our supplier are certified SGS ISO 9001, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and GOTS

ALPACA
All the alpaca wool in our production is sourced from the Peruvian Andes by suppliers who partner with local farmers in the preservation of traditional shearing.

Each piece is hand-knitted by women artisans from rural Peru using techniques passed down through generations. Every stitch carries their expertise, and every garment takes hours and sometimes days to complete.

We believe luxury should be timeless and responsable. Our production follows the principles of slow fashion: limited batches, no overproduction, and a fair income for every artisans involved.
